Three years have passed but the process of improving standards never stops in Saint John’s Catholic School Meruya campus as it sought for government accreditation last 5 August 2010. Mr. Edwar Lukman and Mrs. Ratna Usman, two officials from the  jnational education ministry (DIKNAS), conducted an assessment of the school’s standards and performance in academic, non-academic and administrative areas.

One of the most important issues, among others, in the field of education is the teachers’ capability to ignite critical minds to their students. So the fundamental education process should not only be limited to the “transfer of knowledge”, but also education should endure and go far beyond the walls of the classroom.

Eight graders Putri Metta “Cencen” Suryani and Myrna Dwi Anissa have shown that they got what it takes to learn the intricacies of the German language. In a test coached by the Sonnenberg-based Goethe Institute in Germany, both have passed the A2 level examinations, a feat considering they were away from their families and with less teacher guidance.
